Rice was cooking, curry was simmering on the stove.

Yan Yan was making Karei Riasu  (Curry Rice) for her husband in the kitchen. While waiting for the rice and curry to cook, she took some sips of white tea, her mind seemed to wander. I wonder if the rich smell of Japanese curry brought her back to the time she lived in Japan. I knew she had a memorable time studying in Japan and while she was there she also met and fell in love with her husband.

Life is always full of surprises. You never know who you are going to meet that will change your life forever. Yan Yan definitely got a good surprise in Japan. She now lives a happy life with her new family in Missouri United States.

Lunch was ready. Yummy, her husband said. For me, it was the best Karei Riasu I have tasted knowing where these two lovebirds came from.
